Gauchito United FC Selected as Exclusive Club in Season Three of United Futsal's Champions Cup Series
Miami, FL (August 15, 2023) - Gauchito United Futsal Club (GUFC) is thrilled to announce its selection as one of the 32 elite futsal clubs to compete in the highly anticipated Champions Cup Series for the 2023-2024 season.
Since its establishment in 2017, GUFC has been at the forefront of promoting and nurturing futsal talent in the Miami area. Founded with the goal of introducing futsal to South Florida, the club has rapidly grown and established itself as a force to be reckoned with. With a history deeply rooted in community engagement and fostering partnerships, GUFC has forged connections with local soccer clubs, as well as international powerhouses like Inter Movistar from Madrid, Spain.
Under the leadership of Head Coaches Alvaro Arrazola, Philly Bedard, and Andre Costa, GUFC has already achieved remarkable milestones. In both 2019 and 2022, the club won the United Futsal Regional Championships, and most recently during the 2022-2023 season, the clubs 2012 team secured the title in the World Futsal Championships Gold Division Two, while the 2013 and 2014 teams both reached the semi-finals in Gold Division One.
If it wasn’t evident already, preparation is the key to success for GUFC. Along with organizing and running the South Florida Super League, the region's pioneering futsal league, they also maintain a rigorous year-round training regimen. As part of their thorough preparations, the club arranges a focused training camp in the lead-up to each tournament, ensuring that players are primed for peak performance.
In partnership with United Futsal, GUFC is poised to provide its players with unparalleled opportunities. Aside from exposing players to a year-round futsal calendar, the partnership provides athletes with access to exclusive events such as National Training Camp (NTC) and FUTURES, which offer unique opportunities for players to showcase their skills and unlock their potential. As players engage in extensive futsal play, they acquire invaluable game knowledge and skills. The fast-paced nature of futsal hones decision-making, enhances attacking and defensive capabilities, refines movement of the ball, and sharpens goalkeeping prowess. These acquired skills seamlessly translate to the soccer field, contributing to well-rounded and capable athletes.
